Bacon making was already Grandfather Augustin Kofler's great passion – back then still for personal consumption. We, that is son Viktor and grandson Andreas, have turned this old family tradition into a profession, or rather a calling. And our hearty South Tyrolean bacon into an unmistakable piece of living tradition.

Little salt, little smoke, lots of fresh air and time to mature is the traditional principle. An individual spice blend is also decisive for the unmistakable taste. Just like passion for the product, a lot of manual work and an absolute awareness of quality. It is not for nothing that our bacon can bear the recognized quality seal "Südtiroler Speck g.g.A.".

Our business with a retail store in Lana near Merano has existed since 2008. In addition to production, packaging, shipping, and office, all necessary areas for manufacturing and sales are located here.

In 2019, the business was rebuilt and, in the process, the shop was renovated and enlarged. Now even more South Tyrolean specialties find their place. In addition to the retail store and our online shop, we also sell our specialties daily at various weekly markets in South Tyrol.
